The wide display makes the interface much more easy to navigate compared to the Garmin 3XX series.

It fits in your pocket while it’s inside the leather carry case it came with, with a size similar to that of a PDA. The widescreen mount is pretty small and easy to attach so it’s easy to take off. This will help prevent thieves from thinking you have a GPS in your car.

Another nice security feature like all the other Garmin GPS units come with is the “Garmin Lock” which is a PIN that you set and have to put in before it starts working.

If your phone is Bluetooth enabled you can combine it with the 610 for hands-free calls. I’ve made a call while driving by using the voice dialing on my phone and it makes things so much easier.

Other features include an MP3 player and photo viewer. You can load MP3’s or images to the 610’s internal memory off of an SD card. You can also purchase tourist guides and audiobooks that play on the device via the Garmin website.

To get the most out of the Nuvi 610 you will need an internet connection so you can get all the map updates.

The Garmin Nuvi 610 is definitely worth getting if you want a nice small satellite navigation device with maps of the UK and Ireland and has a lot of features.
